THIRTY81 is an ongoing design study focused on the 30 ballparks of Major League Baseball, highlighting and celebrating the qualities that make each venue unique.
The project began ambitiously as a 31-poster serigraph series launched on Kickstarter in August on 2013. That broad initial approach proved unsuccessful. So a stripped down reboot launched Sept. 19th, focusing solely on the Ballparks Poster, a specially designed serigraph illustrating the variety of field geometry by overlapping the outlines of all 30 MLB ballparks around a common infield pattern. Nearly 250 backers supported this second offering, making the campaign a tremendous success.
A third Kickstarter campaign was launched on Nov. 19th to support the 2014 MLB Travel Routes & Calendar. That serigraph project successfully funded on Dec. 22nd with 49 backers.
On December 3rd, the Scoreboard Series was introduced with the launch of the THIRTY81 Project shop. New additions are underway including a revamped ballpark poster series, a second wave of scoreboard serigraphs and updated scorecards for the upcoming 2014 season.
